CISAC is committed to serving authors worldwide.  Creators are at the heart of what we do.

We organise events, meetings and speaking platforms to help get the voices of creators directly to the audiences they need to reach. In 2020, CISAC partnered with UNESCO to found the Resiliart movement, a global initiative to support and mobilise creators, and alert governments to the impact on the culture sector of the COVID-19 crisis.

In recent years we have also organised events to bring artists and creators to the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO), the United Nations and many other events shaping policies on culture.

As the international voice for creators and their collective management organisations, we work closely with creative communities across all artistic fields to bring their voice to the fore in discussions regarding copyright/authors’ rights internationally. These are opportunities for creators to explain to policy makers the reality of the creative process, the importance of fair remuneration, and the economic value that their works generate.

Through its President and Vice Presidents, the international creators’ councils, and numerous international and local initiatives, CISAC places creators at the centre of its activities.
