Prior to the devastating impact of COVID-19, rapid digital collections growth, streaming-driven, was been the hallmark of Latin America and the Caribbean market for several years. A cascade of licensing deals with international and local digital platforms has spurred growth and made a large volume of Latin America repertoire available to the rest of the world.

As of May 2024, CISAC had 46 member societies in Latin America and the Caribbean. This region currently comprises 20% of our global membership.  In Latin America and the Caribbean, 30 author societies focus primarily on the management of rights in musical works, 6 in the visual arts, 9 in audiovisual and 1 in drama.
