CISAC’s services to members and creators

CISAC works to protect the rights and promote the interests of creators across all regions of the world and artistic fields; music, audiovisual, drama, literature and visual arts. We aim to secure fair remuneration for creators for the use of theirs works anywhere in the world.

CISAC is the exclusive global data authority on the collective management sector. We publish a wide range of studies and reports providing expert knowledge and guidance to its community and to policy makers.

Through its information services to members, CISAC is a leader in global efforts to streamline rights data management through standard identifiers, smart metadata and cross-industry collaboration.

Business tools and governance are also key services provided to CISAC members. Building trust in the work of authors' societies–both from creators and users of creative works–is an essential goal. Our objective is to provide the highest standards of operational excellence throughout our international network of member societies.

CISAC aims also to be an industry-leading education resource to help drive awareness and education about the importance of the rights of creators around the world.  The confederation has created or supported several initiatives that further awareness and education about the rights of creators.

In its work to promote gender equalityWomen@CISAC aims to conduct research, raise awareness and share best practices to support CISAC members in advancing the goal of equality and inclusion. This initiative is led by an executive committee comprised of working creators, academics and experts in the field of gender equality.
