The Board’s Vice-Chairs will be Patrick Raude, Secretary-General of French society SACD – also re-elected for a second term – and Jennifer Brown, CEO of Canada’s SOCAN who takes the position for the first time.

The appointments were made on 23rd June at the first meeting of the new Board, which was also attended by three new members: BMDA from Morocco; DAMA from Spain; and VG BILD-KUNST from Germany.

Marcelo Castello Branco said: “I am deeply honoured to be re-appointed as Chair of the CISAC Board. With this position comes the massive responsibility of working together with all my colleagues, and with the CISAC team, to address the constant and never-ending changes that are taking place across the music landscape. We are responsible also towards our nearly four million members throughout the world, for whom CISAC is working to shape a better and fairer environment. This is a time for adaptability and a common understanding of how to keep improving and creating more value for the creators’ community”.
