We need to work harder than ever for creators’ rights, CISAC President tells General Assembly
KOMCA
The creative industries will need to work harder than ever on AI to safeguard creators’ rights in the coming months, CISAC’s President Björn Ulvaeus told the General Assembly in Seoul on 31st May.
“Twelve months ago our discussions on AI were about principles. Now the debate has moved on and legislation is upon us. The EU AI Directive has provided a great framework and an example to the world. Now we need to work harder than ever to secure similar outcomes in other jurisdictions: the US, Japan, Brazil, Canada. And of course here in Korea.”
