Poland’s audiovisual sector: fair remuneration and economic growth
CISAC is working with its sister organisations, the Society of Audiovisual Authors (SAA) and Writers & Directors Worldwide (W&DW), to raise awareness of the need for fair remuneration for audiovisual creators. As part of this campaign, the three partners have now joined with the Polish Union of Audiovisual Authors and Producers - ZAPA, to publish a new case study on the legal environment for audiovisual creators in Poland. The study, focusing on the historical, economic and legal aspects of the Polish audiovisual sector, follows similar studies published in recent weeks.
The Polish study highlights industry data illustrating the growth of the audiovisual sector over the years. It underlines the advantages of the legal regime based on an unwaivable remuneration right for audiovisual authors and indicates what should be improved to achieve a comprehensive system fully incentivising audiovisual creation.
