CISAC presents adopted General Assembly resolutions to Agency for Cultural Affairs in Japan

In Japan, CISAC Board Vice-Chairperson and JASRAC President Michio Asaishi was joined by representatives from JASPAR, the Writers Guild of Japan, the Japan Artist Association and the Directors Guild of Japan in a meeting with Agency for Cultural Affairs Director General Toshiya Naito on June 25th. As part of efforts to improve the situation for creators in several repertoires, a letter from CISAC Director General Gadi Oron as well as three resolutions passed at the CISAC General Assembly in Tokyo were presented. The resolutions included private copying remuneration in Japan, resale right for visual artists in Japan and support for the Directors Guild of Japan.
