CTDLV 2025 in Istanbul

CISAC’s Dramatic, Literary and Audiovisual Works Technical Committee (CTDLV) was held on 1-2 October 2025 in Istanbul, Türkiye, gathering more than 80 participants from Europe, Latin America, Africa and Asia-Pacific. The meeting was organised with the support of the local confederation of audiovisual societies SEF and with kind support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye.

The meeting heard extensive reports on the audiovisual collective management situation in Türkiye and the current trends in the Turkish audiovisual production industry. The committee declared CISAC’s support to SEF in its efforts to obtain fair remuneration for audiovisual creators in Türkiye. At the occasion of the CTDLV, CISAC and SEF organised special sessions with broadcasters and key user organisations to strengthen the dialogue towards transparent and fair licensing and distribution mechanisms for audiovisual creators, based on experience from established European CMOs.

The CTDLV also discussed current collective management developments in Central and Eastern Europe and other regions, practical measures implemented by DLV societies to adapt to the challenges posed by artificial intelligence, and private copying, among other topics. Attending CMOs also heard an update on the use of international data exchange tools and formats for the administration of the DLV repertoire.

The CTDLV has elected Cezary Piekarczyk (ZAPA) as its new Chairperson for a two-year term, succeeding David Grundy (ALCS).
