CISAC and the international community of creators have lost a deeply valued friend and colleague following the tragic death of Carole Croella of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

Carole Croella worked with CISAC on many issues during a long career dedicated to improving intellectual property rights and supporting copyright owners and creators.  She played a leading role in projects and events of great importance to CISAC members globally, including copyright initiatives in Africa, Eastern Europe and international events to engage visual artists across the world.

CISAC Director-General Gadi Oron said: “Carole Croella was a wonderful person, a dedicated and hugely respected colleague,  and a close friend of so many people in CISAC and our member societies.  Her tragic loss is being mourned by the creative community around the world”.
