Intellectual property congress to address impact of technological disruption on creative industries

The intellectual property congress “New frontiers of intellectual property and new disruptive technologies” will be held on September 21st and 22nd. The online event is organised by Austral University of Argentina and the Latin American School of Intellectual Property (ELAPI). It is sponsored by CISAC and intellectual property organisations.

Over two days, speakers from Latin America, USA, and Europe will examine the topics at the crossroads of intellectual property and new technologies, including: the implications of artificial intelligence and blockchain on intellectual property, the future of copyright in the face of new technologies, KriptoArte, the challenges of collective management in the digital environment as well as brands and e-commerce.

CISAC Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean Rafael Fariñas will participate in a panel that on the challenges of collective management in a changing world.
