56 delegates from the CISAC member societies that manage dramatic, literary and audiovisual (DLV) repertoires, came together in Bucharest, Romania on 29-30 September 2015 for their annual meeting.

Romanian society DACIN-SARA CEO Bogdan Ficeac, who's society kindly hosted a luncheon on the first day of the meeting, kicked off by reporting on their activities.

Delegates updated each other on the development of technical tools that are crucial to the efficient administration and distribution of DLV rights. Furthermore, the meeting glimpsed into the near future of licensing NetPVR and online distributors such as YouTube.

In the literary field, attention was paid to e-lending and licensing Mass Digitisation projects of Cultural Heritage Institutions.

As last year, Writers & Directors Worldwide (W&DW) Chair Yves Nilly was also present. He stressed the importance of an unwaivable right to remuneration for audiovisual authors, to ensure that writers and directors can make a living of their work and to promote cultural diversity.

The meeting was also attended by Society of Audio-visual Authors (SAA) Executive Director Cecile Despringre, who outlined important European political developments.

Updates from the regional directors further stressed the importance of working closely together as DLV societies in an ever-changing environment.
