2015 Budapest Seminar

On 17-18 November, the CISAC European Regional Office organised a Binding Resolutions (“BR”) training for music societies in Budapest. The event was attended by 26 participants from 19 CMOs, primarily from Central and Eastern Europe. The two trainers, CISAC Director of Business Standards and Rules Sylvain Piat and external expert Declan Ruden, presented a comprehensive overview of all BR in the documentation and distribution areas and related best practices. There was a lively exchange on respective societies’ experiences and current challenges in implementing CISAC standards and tools. Societies were further encouraged to take a more active part in the relevant CISAC forums for being able to better express their needs.
