In Memoriam: Pepe Sánchez

The cultural world says goodbye to the director, writer and producer Pepe Sánchez, one of the most influential figures in the Colombian cultural and artistic world.

Pepe Sánchez passionately promoted the rights of audiovisual authors and supported the Audiovisual Campaign for the introduction of a remuneration right for audiovisual creators in Latin America. Recently, Pepe Sánchez put his charisma and knowledge at the service of the Colombian creator community through promoting the bill created in his honour. This bill would recognise rights for the works of film and television screenwriters and directors.

CISAC will work alongside local audiovisual society DASC in order to ensure that his legacy will endure, and that audiovisual authors will have their rights recognised in Colombia.
