Join the webinar: Introducing AVR+ the new global standard for music in AV
Following the launch of AVR+, the first implementation-ready global format designed to modernise how audiovisual music data is exchanged, CISAC is inviting industry stakeholders to a webinar introducing the new standard and demonstrating how it works in practice.
AVR+ transforms the Global Cue Sheet Standard 2.0 into a fully documented, machine-readable format, helping improve the accuracy, interoperability and efficiency of audiovisual music data processing. By enabling more consistent metadata exchange across the value chain, AVR+ supports faster and more accurate identification of rights holders and royalty distributions.
The webinar will provide an overview of the industry challenges that led to the development of AVR+, explain how the new format complements the Global Cue Sheet Standard, and explore the benefits for collective management organisations, publishers, production companies, broadcasters and other audiovisual stakeholders.
What to expect
The session includes speakers Yann Lebreuilly (CISAC) and Jens Kindermann (GEMA), Chair of CISAC’s Audiovisual Working Group, who will discuss the rationale behind AVR+, its current adoption and the next steps for implementation across the industry.
Participants will also be able to see AVR+ in action through a live demonstration led by Moaiz Ben Dhaou (CISAC). The session will include a walkthrough of the AVR+ website, technical specifications and practical guidance on how organisations can begin working with the format.

About AVR+
Launched by CISAC in June 2026, AVR+ is the first fully documented and machine-readable technical format based on the Global Cue Sheet Standard 2.0. Built as a structured JSON schema, it enables automated processing and validation of audiovisual music data, improving consistency and transparency throughout the rights ecosystem.
By integrating both musical works and recording metadata, AVR+ supports not only authors’ rights but also neighbouring rights, providing a more complete view of music usage and helping ensure creators and rightsholders are more accurately identified and fairly remunerated.
