CISAC Speaks at ICMP Congress

CISAC was pleased to participate in the ICMP Central and Eastern European (CEE) Congress held in Istanbul, Turkey on 10 September.

CISAC Director of Business Standards and Rules Sylvain Piat outlined the key aspects of CISAC’s ongoing governance reform.

CISAC Director for Europe Mitko Chatalbashev covered regional developments in CEE.  He stressed the need to foster legislative frameworks that enable proper "one-stop shop" licensing solutions for commercial users.  He also spoke about importance of achieving a balance between state supervision and regulation of the collective management mechanism.

ICMP is an international world trade association that protects the rights and promotes the interests of the music publishing community. 

ICMP members include music publishers’ associations from Europe, the Middle East, North/South America, Africa and Asia-Pacific.
