Further emphasising the importance of promoting and protecting the interests of authors in Asia-Pacific, CISAC held its Board of Directors meeting in China on 29-30 November for the first time in the confederation’s history. This landmark event continues a focus on the region that followed the 2016 World Creators Forum as well as the relocation of the Regional Office to China in 2014.

This exceptional board meeting was opened with special presentations by local society MCSC Vice President and Director General Jingming Qu as well as Chinese Music Corp (CMC) Chief Executive Officer Xie Guomin.

The Board of Directors of CISAC is composed of 20 directors from 17 countries, representing the interests spanning all regions and artistic repertoires.
