CISAC and GEDAR are hosting  an audiovisual creators’ panel at Rio2C 2026 in Rio de Janeiro, bringing together leading voices from Brazil and Europe to discuss the future of creative work in the streaming era.

Part of CISAC’s Global Creators Dialogues – Centenary Series, The Value of Creation: a conversation featuring the authors of Money Heist, Nice Girls and Pico da Neblina takes place on 27 May 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. (UTC−3) at the Global Stage.

The panel discussion explores the necessary conditions to sustain creative careers, including time, stability, creative freedom and fair remuneration. The participants will also examine the role of collective management in ensuring transparency and enabling authors to continue benefiting from the success of their works.

Brazil is at a pivotal moment in the recognition of a statutory remuneration right for audiovisual authors in the digital market. For CISAC and GEDAR, it is essential that Brazilian legislation evolves  to ensure Brazilian creators share more fairly in the value generated by the continued exploitation of their works on traditional uses, streaming and digital platforms.

Panellists include:

  • Noémie Saglio, Screenwriter & Director, SACD
  • Javier Gómez Santander, Screenwriter & Journalist, DAMA
  • André Mielnik, Screenwriter & Producer, GEDAR President
  • Cauê Laratta, Screenwriter, GEDAR

Luisa Luna, CISAC Creators Relations Manager will moderate the event.

A recording of the discussion will be made available after the event.
