Acte constitutif

Auteur

Le créateur de toute œuvre artistique, y compris en dehors du domaine littéraire.

CIS

Le système commun d’information (Common Information System), dont l’objectif est d’introduire, développer ou maintenir :

A) des normes pour la répartition efficace des Droits d’auteur (« Normes CIS ») et

B) des bases de données qui permettent aux Membres (tels que définis aux Articles 7 et suivants des Statuts) de partager l’information conformément aux normes CIS.

Conseil d'administration

Le Conseil d’Administration de la CISAC, tel qu’il est institué dans les Statuts.

Créateur

Auteur ou compositeur.

DLV Society

A Society for which the administration of copyright in dramatic, literary or audio-visual copyright works is the dominant activity.

E

European Society

A Society domiciled in any country (other than Canada and the United States of America) which was a member of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe on 31 May 2006.

Expert

The senior executive employed by a Member who has direct or indirect responsibility for the information technology functions of such Member.

Financial Obligation

Any pecuniary obligation (whether arising through contract, under the Statutes or otherwise) which a Member, Associate or Provisional (as defined in accordance with Articles 7 et seq.), as the case may be, owes to CISAC.

I

Ibero-American Member

A Member domiciled in a Latin American country, Spain or Portugal.

Internal Rules

The complete set of regulations setting out the conduct, procedure, arrangement and practices of a Body (as defined in accordance with Article 32).

Latin American Society

A Society domiciled in a Latin American country.

Month

A calendar month.

Musical Society

A Society for which the administration of copyright in musical copyright works is the dominant activity.

Professional Rules

The code of governance, administrative, business, financial and CIS principles which are regularly laid down by the Board and binding on each Member, Associate and Provisional.

Region

Each of the following five geographical areas of Africa, Asia-Pacific, Canada and the United States of America, Europe and Latin America.

Repertoire

Each of the following three categories of copyright works:

musical works;

dramatic, literary and audiovisual works;

graphic, plastic and photographic works.

Reprographic Rights Collections

Any Royalties collected in respect of the reprographic reproduction of a copyright work through the process of photocopying, printing, or faxing such copyright work.

Royalties

The share of the proceeds paid to a Creator or publisher in respect of the exploitation of a copyright work.

Society

A collective management organisation administering copyright/authors rights.

Term

A period separating the last day of two consecutive Summits.
