The development of collective management in China continued progressing when a delegation from the National Copyright Administration of China (NCAC) visited Chilean societies on November 29th. The NCAC group met with musical repertoire society SCD, audiovisual and dramatic society ATN and visual arts society CREAIMAGEN thanks to joint efforts of the CISAC Latin America & the Caribbean and Asia-Pacific Regional Offices.

The NCAC delegation learned about the CMO application and approval process, competitive or monopolistic models, setting tariffs, extended collective management and the role of government in collective management. Officials also learned about the legislation, implementation and enforcement of resale right as well as the Ricardo Larrain Law providing remuneration rights to audiovisual authors.
